My partner Peter is developing a new turbine wheel for a 10-15kw industrial application Turboshaft engine. The hot section wheels are milled 5-axis HSC from Nimonic turbine steel at our shop. There are current works on a digital mockup and a preproduction model should be running next year. Using latest 5-axis HSC technologies, we are able to mill one piece turbine and compressor wheels from exotic materials like aircraft aluminum, titan and high temperature super-alloy.
